Peruvian Amaryllis Bulb 'Andes Fire' – Deep Velvet Red Christmas Amaryllis, 28/30 cm
Peruvian Amaryllis Bulb 'Andes Fire' – Deep Velvet Red Christmas Amaryllis, 28/30 cm
Details
The deepest, richest red. Andes Fire has bold, fiery red blooms with a velvety texture and a dark crimson throat. It's darker and more dramatic than a classic holiday red. Strong 18–24" stems carry the flowers upright, perfect for a holiday table or as a gift.
Bulb size: 28/30 cm. Expect 2 or more stems, each with 4–6 blooms.
One of the fastest to bloom. Andes Fire typically flowers 5–7 weeks after potting, so it's a strong pick for Christmas. Plant by mid-November.
Why Peruvian bulbs:
- Southern Hemisphere grown and harvested in time for holiday flowering, unlike most Dutch bulbs sold in stores
- Grown in a dry Andean valley with almost no rain, which keeps fungal disease away
- Raised under insect netting to keep them virus-free
- Grown in sandy soil and carefully cured before export, so bulbs arrive firm and healthy
