They HATE the heat so if you start them too late they will not flower well and terminate. They are also not winter hardy in zones lower than 8 and are prone to rot and being eaten by mice and voles. In general Ranunculus take about 90 days from rooting to flower and they will need cool weather\u003c\/span\u003e (evening 40-50° \u0026amp; daytime 60-70°) weather. If too warm, they will stay dormant. I would always recommend soaking and pre-sprouting these premium corms - I would never just plant them as is and hope for the best - they are far too finicky in my opinion.
